After proceeding through the tunnel, continue along the dirt road until a stone wall is visible to your left. This is the McAllister family cemetery.

Buried here is the owner of the Fort Hunter estate, Archibald McAllister, his second wife Elizabeth, and other relatives. Archibald bought the property in 1787 after having served as a Captain in the Revolutionary War. He and Elizabeth had six children, one of whom, John Carson McAllister, is also buried here. The McAllister family owned Fort Hunter until 1870, when it was sold at public auction to Daniel Dick Boas of Harrisburg.

To the east and through this brush railroad tracks are visible.

Trains often block the way forward while signs warn trespassers to keep out.
